This Chestnut Hill residence in the Northwest section of Philadelphia was designed and built by famed Philadelphia architect George Howe as his private home. A local quarry was even reopened just to supply the pinkish and purplish stone used in its construction. Howe also designed (with William Lacaze) the famous Philadelphia Savings Fund Society (PSFS) building in Center City Philadelphia.
