Rittenhouse Square is one of Philadelphia’s most beloved parks, known for its leafy paths and lively neighborhood energy. Near it’s center stands the iconic bronze goat sculpture ‘Billy’, created by Philadelphia artist Albert Laessle in 1914 and installed in the square in 1919. It has delighted generations of children who climb and pose on him, making him a favorite meeting spot and enduring symbol of the park’s playful spirit.
